272 Horsepower with 400 of Torque at 3000 r/min, 2.0L turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine is available on the Jeep® Wrangler and is equipped with Engine Start Stop and eight-speed automatic trasmission. The system blends performance-enhancing and fuel-saving technologies to optimize powertrain effectiveness and efficiency.

When four-wheel power is required, the Command-Trac® 4×4 System with an NV241 GII transfer case, standard on Sport and Sahara, shifts into action to help you get through with ease. Command-Trac is a proven shift-on-the-fly system, with a 2.72:1 low range for rock crawling, and neutral for available flat towing. Next generation Dana 44 axles The Jeep® Wrangler Rubicon is equipped with front and rear Dana® 44 axles to make it stand out from the crowd. The axles are beefed up with thicker tubes and forgings for superior strength, rigidity and durability. |
Rock-trac® With Tru-lok® Wrangler Rubicon is equipped with Tru-Lock® electronic-locking differentials. The instrument panel rocker switch can activate the rear or both axels for ultimate traction. |
Active Sway Bar Disconnect This Rubicon-only system lets you automatically disengage the sway bar when driving under 18 mph in 4LO mode. It allows the front wheels to drop and compress up to 25% further to tackle the most challenging terrain. |
